This Cooks Reference site provides you with a tool that combines a comprehensive glossary of cookery terms, which covers all of the above, and integrates them with an ever growing international recipe collection.  

Searching for a recipe idea?

First use our recipe selectors, on the left side of each page, to select from our ever growing selection of tested recipes. Do this by clicking on the appropriate menu button, laid out by type of principal ingredient, or use the Recipe Search option which allows you to use a set of categorised multiple selection choices. 

Need to compile a shopping list?

Each of the three ingredient quantity columns has a click on button to add that columns ingredients into a shopping list, which is printable, and lists all the ingredients into alphabetical order. You can add complete menus or meal plans and the system will present a consoildated shopping list.

What do these terms or ingredients mean?

Each item word or term highlighted in yellow, eg apple, when clicked on with the mouse opens a box to display the meaning and use of that term.
